Cora Jackman Keetch

CORA JACKMAN KEETCH Graveside services for Cortez resident, Cora Jackman Keetch will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 30 at Memory Gardens of Farmington, 6917 E. Main Street, Farmington, N.M. Cora was born the daughter of William Lester and Ina Mae Jackman on December 20, 1919 in Levan, Utah. She passed away at Madison House in Cortez on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the age of 90. Cora graduated from Provo, Utah High School and attended San Juan College. On July 15, 1943 Cora married C. Wesley Keetch and later were married at the Mesa Temple in Mesa, Arizona. She and Wesley celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in July of 1993 just four months before Wesley's death in October. She worked as a bookkeeper in Layton and Cedar City, Utah for the Department of Agriculture. Cora and Wesley moved to Farmington, N.M. in September 1963. There she was a substitute teacher and had a nursery school until retirement in 1978. In Cora's free time she loved to travel, play Bridge, golf and bowl. Surviving Cora are her son, Steven J. Keetch and wife, JoAnn of Cortez; grandson, Jeffrey B. Keetch of Cortez; great grandchildren, Kiera, Braden and Blake Keetch; her brother, Morris A. Jackman and wife, Carol of Provo, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Cora in death were her husband, C. Wesley Keetch; her parents, William and Ina Mae Jackman; one sister, Wanda Holdaway; and two brothers, W. Lynn and LaNell R. Jackman. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
