Cody is survived by his parents, Ron and Dana DuFrene; his grandmother, Stella Wilton of Los Lunas, NM; his daughter, Amy Lynn DuFrene; his brother, Lonny DuFrene; and his spouse, Lacy DuFrene; his sister Tammy DuFrene and her spouse Lonnie Hurst; along with his nephews, Stetson Scott and his girlfriend Madison Jaramillo, Chace Philpott, Dallon DuFrene and his girlfriend Cheyenne Mejia; and his nieces, Tearah Philpott, and Kiersten DuFrene; with an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Cody had a love for many things. This was Cody's favorite time of year not only because of hunting season but because he enjoyed decorating for the holidays. One of his greatest avocations was racing. He started at a young age, and when he wasn't racing on the track, he was watching others compete for the finish line. He also loved fishing and cooking. He loved to cook amazing new meals for his family, and loved sending recipes for others to try themselves. He spent most of his time with his family, nieces and nephews, and his pride and joy, daughter Amy. Most of all he loved his daughter with all his heart. They were inseparable, doing everything together. Cody's life came to the finish line much too soon, but the memories he made and legacy he left will live on forever in those closest to him.

A celebration of life for Cody will be held in the spring of 2021. The family is eternally grateful for all of the prayers and condolences they have received during this difficult time and send their sincerest gratitude.
