CHERRIE DAWN WILLIFORD Funeral services for lifelong Lewis resident, Cherrie Dawn Williford will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 17 at the Lewis Arriola Community Center. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Cherrie was born on October 27, 1957 in Cortez, the daughter of June I. (Hollen) Bertram. She passed away Friday, May 14, 2004 at her mother’s home in Lewis at the age of 46. Cherrie liked being outdoors working in her yard. She was a hard worker with a big heart. She was loved by her community, and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and how she was always happy. Surviving Cherrie is her husband, Michael Lynn Williams of Lewis; her children, Thomas Mason Williams of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Mary Lynn Dorenkamp and family, Kaylee Williams all of Dolores, and Tyrell Williams of Lewis. Her mother, June Bertram of Lewis; her three grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Dane Hately and family of Lewis, Everitt Williford and family of Dolores, Bryce Williford of Dolores, Robin Carver and family of Cortez, and Kim Williford and family of Cortez; and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive Cherrie. Preceding her in death is her beloved son, Wade Alex Williams. Memorial contributions can be made in Cherrie’s name at either Vectra Bank of Dolores State Bank.
