CHARLES EDWARD "CHUCK" SLUDER JR. Graveside services for Cortez resident, Charles Edward "Chuck" Sluder Jr. will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9 at 24058 Road N, Cortez. Chuck was born the son of Charles Edward Sluder Sr. and Dianne Marie (Frazier) Sluder on July 10, 1071 in Cortez. He passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 near Arriola, Colo. Chuck was a diesel mechanic for Nielsons/Skanska. He was a dedicated worker and loved his job. He also enjoyed farming and welding. Surviving Chuck are his mother, Dianne Sluder of Cortez; stepfather, Jerry Carvell of Cortez; by his sister, Daisy Stenzel and husband, Tom of Florence, Colo.; nieces and nephews, Desiray, Cobe and Charles; aunts, Doris Jacquez and husband, Charles of Arriba, Colo. and Elsie Frazier of Lewis, Colo.; uncles, Donnie Sluder of Oregon and Donald Frazier of Cortez; cousin, Stanley Howell of Denver, Colo. as well as other numerous cousins; and extended family, Bernie and Gloria Stenzel, Ted and Kris Stenzel, and Annette and Clay Nimmo. Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles Sluder Sr. in 1974.
