CHARLES ANDREW SCHRACK SR. Memorial services for Lewis resident, Charles Andrew Schrack, Sr. will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21 at the Schrack residence, 19930 Road W, Lewis. Following the services, there will be a dinner at the Lewis Arriola Community Center. Visitation has been set for Tuesday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow. Charles Andrew Schrack Sr. passed away at his home at Lewis on April 15, 2004. He was born June 15, 1935 in New Milford, Conn., the son of Wilbur and Mildred E. (McNamee) Schrack. Charles was 68 years old at the time of his death. “Charlie” as family and friends fondly knew him, spent his career working for the Local 675 Labor Union in Connecticut helping to build roads and large buildings. On May 2, 1992, Charlie and Sharon were married in Danbury, Conn. They moved to the Lewis area nine years ago. Charlie drew much satisfaction from his time spent in his gardens. He also loved woodworking. Surviving Charlie are his wife, Sharon (Hixon) Schrack of Lewis; his children, Debbie Komar and husband, Danny of Plant City, Fla., Charles Schrack Jr. and wife, Joan of Danbury, Conn., Teresa Wilkes and husband, John of Thomaston, Conn., and Keith Schrack of Lewis; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; and his brother, Raymond Schrack of New Fairfield, Conn. Preceding Charlie in death were his parents; and his wife, Louise Schrack who passed away in 1981.
