CATHERINE MARIE ROGERS Funeral Mass for Cortez resident Catherine Marie Rogers will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 22 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo. Reverend Joseph L. Gallegos, C.R. will officiate. Visitation has been scheduled for Saturday morning from 8 to 9 a.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Catherine was born on January 21, 1923 in North Dakota the daughter of William Patrick and Ethel (Seirks) Quinn. She passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. On June 28, 1958, Catherine married LeRoy Charles Rogers in Minnesota. A devout Catholic, Catherine was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She was a generous woman who took care of anyone in need. Catherine's family always came first, she loved them dearly. In her free time, Catherine enjoyed working in the garden and she was very proud that she could play the piano. Surviving Catherine are her children, Paul Rogers and wife, Lisa and their children, Paul Rogers II and Sarah Rogers, all of Grand Island, Neb., Kevin Rogers and wife, Janece and their daughter, Kenzie Rogers all of Castle Rock, Colo., and Marie Rogers-Patrick and husband, Dan Patrick and their daughter, Chesnie Patrick all of Cortez; and her siblings, Bill Quinn of Missouri, Joan Chester and husband, Phil of Minnesota, Sharon Perkinson of Minnesota, Judy Streitz of Nebraska, and Diane Wild of Minnesota. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, LeRoy Rogers.
