CAROL MORSE JOHNSON SKLAR Funeral services for Dolores resident, Carol Morse Johnson Sklar will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 13 at the Matares Funeral Home in Ashland, Mass. Interment will follow at the Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Carol was born on December 17, 1920 in Ashland, Mass. the daughter of Elmer and Laura (Taylor) Morse. She passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Aspen Gardens Assisted Living Center at the age of 83. Carol was a gifted woman who could play the Organ, and enjoyed painting. She could make anything that included using a needle and thread. She was an accomplished quilter and liked crocheting. Surviving Carol are her children, Brad K. Johnson Sr. of Mancos, Karen Sue Shepard of Woodville, Mass., Wayne A. Johnson of Dover, Mass., Eric A. Johnson of Stoneham, Mass. and their families. She leaves 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Beverly Miller of Punta Gorda, Fla. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Milton E. Sklar; and her son, Stephen B. Johnson. Memorial contributions can be made in Carol’s name to the Aspen Gardens Assisted Living Center. There will be no local services held.
