Bruce Alvin Kirsch

BRUCE ALVIN KIRSCH Memorial services for Cortez resident Bruce Alvin Kirsch will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 26 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Bruce was born on November 25, 1957 in Milwaukee, Wis. the son of Alvin John and Beverly Ann (McIntosh) Kirsch. He passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 52. On October 28, 1979, Bruce married Linda Sue Odom in West Covina, Calif. Bruce was very active in Special Olympics, he assisted with basketball, track, and bowling. He will be remembered throughout the community for all the lives he touched through his position at Community Connections. In his free time, Bruce enjoyed watching NASCAR and shooting pool. Surviving Bruce are his wife of 30 years, Linda Kirsch of Cortez; his daughter, Holly Kirsch and partner, Lisa Licher of Gladstone, Ore.; and his father, Alvin Kirsch of Cortez. Bruce also leaves behind a granddaughter, Mellodie Kinkade; his siblings, Gary Kirsch and wife, Laura of Lake Havasu, Ariz., John Kirsch of Des Moines, Iowa, Dennis Kirsch of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Mary Ann Kirsch of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; his nieces and nephews, Julie Meyers, Heather Odom, Michelle Dudack, Gary Kirsch Jr., Josh Kirsch, Crystal Cook, David Kirsch, Katarina Yeo, Jennifer Kirsch, and Frankie Kirsch; his best-friend, Casey Fuller of Cortez; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Carol Odom of Cortez; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jay and Minka Odom of Cortez; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his mother; by his son, Jesy Kirsch; and by his brother, Wayne Kirsch. Memorial contributions may be made in Bruce's name to Citizens State Bank of Cortez.
