Bonnie Jean Forseen

April 21, 1942 — April 9, 2021

Bonnie Jean (Bristol) Forseen succumbed to dementia at Aspen Gardens in Cortez, Colorado on April 9, 2021.
Bonnie was born April 21, 1942, in Denver Colorado. Her family lived briefly in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, then Ft Morgan, Colorado before moving to Frisco, Colorado in June 1953. Bonnie graduated High School from Central Christian in Hutchison, Kansas. She attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Returning to Frisco, Colorado she was married to Ron Forseen on August 31, 1963. They were married 57 years. Bonnie and Ron had two sons, Greg and Darrel. In 1970 they moved to Squaw Lake, Minnesota, where her youngest son Douglas was born. The family returned to Frisco and lived at the Columbine Ranch until 1983 when they moved to Cortez, Colorado, where she lived until her death.
Bonnie loved the mountains, her boys and grandchildren. She loved the Lord Jesus and prayed faithfully for her family. She was very involved in Christian Women’s Club and was a traveling speaker for them in Colorado and New Mexico. She enjoyed volunteering at her church in AWANA, Children’s Sunday school and leading women’s Bible Studies. She especially enjoyed teaching the children.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Lola Mae Bristol; and her brother, David Bristol. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ron Forseen; her sons, Gregory (Vivian) Forseen, Darrel (Julie) Forseen, Douglas Forseen; her brothers, Harold (Sue) Bristol, Marvin (Colleen) Bristol, Joe Bristol; her sister, Sylvia (Rick) Grady; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
