Betty Jean Gordon

BETTY JEAN GORDON Betty Jean Gordon was born on March 10, 1919 in Elkhart, In., the daughter of Bernard L. and Gertrude E. (Doering) Acton. She passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Four Corners Regional Care in Blanding. She was 87 years old. Betty attended high school in Roundup, Mont. and then went on to business school in Elkhart, In. On October 6, 1946 Betty married Leonard Porter Gordon in Columbus, Mont. During her working career Betty was a waitress and a secretary. She also ran the Montezuma Lounge in Montezuma Creek, Utah for about 17 years. Betty was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 76 years in Roundup, Mont. Surviving Betty are her brothers, Hugh Acton of Blanding and Tanner T. Acton of Defiance, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Leonard Gordon. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
