BARBARA JOANN LINNENS Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident, Barbara Joann Linnens will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 8 at the Faith Bible Church. Pastor Dave Seaford will be officiating. Her final resting place will be at Lebanon Cemetery Joann was born on October 27, 1940 in Perry, Okla. the daughter of Wiley Clyde and Marjorie Fern (Joachims) Morse. She passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 64. Joann spent her working years in a variety of industries. During her pastime she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and caring for small animals. Surviving Joann are her children, Robert E. Jones and wife, Penny of Cortez, Sherrl Fry of Saint Petersburg, Fla., Rick C. Jones and wife, Sandra of Cortez, and Shawna Watkins and husband, Scott of Grand Junction, Colo. She leaves eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; her brother, Bob L. Morse and wife, Diana of Tulsa, Okla.; her best friend, Lola Davis of Cortez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
