Barbara Ann Gibson

BARBARA ANN GIBSON Barbara Ann Gibson was born August 5, 1950 in Alamosa, Colo. the daughter of Vincent and Elizabeth (Suazo) Apodaca. She passed away at her Cortez home on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the age of 59. On July 31, 1971 Barbara married Carl R. Gibson at the Alamosa Presbyterian Church in Alamosa, Colo. Devoted to her shitzu dogs, Sammy and Vicki, Barbara loved spoiling them. She was also good at keeping life easy for Carl. Surviving Barbara are her beloved husband of 38 years, Carl Gibson of Cortez; two nieces Nancy Griffin and husband, John of Denver, Colo., and Jodi Purcell and husband, Bruce of Albuquerque, N.M. Preceding Barbara in death were her parents; and two sisters, Marie Pacheco and Estella Campbell. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Barbara Ann Gibson with National Jewish Medical and Research Center, 1400 Jackson Street, Denver, Colo. 80206. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
