March 13, 1920 — June 21, 2006

ANN N. DILLION In celebration of Ann’s life, a memorial service will be conducted at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church on Wednesday June 28, at 1:00 p.m. followed by internment at the Lewis Cemetery and a gathering at the Lewis Arriola Community Center. Ann N. Dillon was born on March 13, 1920, in Baird, Texas, to Lewis and Lovina Hayhurst. She and her siblings spent most of their childhood years at Cedar Point, Utah. In 1937, Ann married Dale Dillon and began her successful career as a wife and mother. They spent the next several years residing in Dove Creek and Cortez before moving to Egnar where Mrs. Dillon became postmistress in 1968. All of her adult life Ann volunteered for many civic duties such as election clerk, pink lady, and census taker. She enjoyed bowling, crafting, and picnicking. She was well known for her hand made Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls as well as her hospitality. Children were the passion of her life. Her most natural trait was taking care of others. After her retirement, Ann and Dale moved to Arizona where they lived until Dale’s death in 1996. Ann relocated to California where she was living at the time of her death on June 21, 2006. In addition to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by 4 sisters, 1 brother, and 1 great-grandson. She is survived by daughters Donna Fais and husband Bud, Doris Whitt and husband Tom, Bobbi Johnson, and Linda Trujillo; son Ed Dillon and wife Terri; grandchildren Brenda Belt, Lesa McCurdy, Jennifer Kuhn, Tim Burris, Kristi Bonner, Keri Johnson, Rebecca Huxford, Tamara Gavin, Jeremiah Grumbois, Erin Trujillo, and Quinci Trujillo; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Kate Estes, and a brother, Bill Hayhurst.
