ANITA GENEVIEVE MARTINEZ Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident, Anita Genevieve Martinez will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor David Dahl will officiate. Anita was born February 22, 1922 in Saint Quen L'Aumone, France the daughter of Sauveur and Charolotte (Chambard) Lupino. She passed away at Vista Grande Inn on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the age of 86. Anita was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church. In 1981, Anita began a 25 year volunteering period with Southwest Memorial Hospital. She proudly logged in 9337 hours of service to the hospital. Anita was also a past President of the Community Concert Association and she was a member of the Harmony Club. In her free time, Anita taught piano and she was an organist at Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, traveling, and photography. Surviving Anita are a niece, Michelle Ceroni; and a grand niece, Corinne Ceroni both of Voiron, France. She was preceded in death by her husband, T. Albert Martinez; her parents; and one brother.
