Andrew Ronald Mccluney

June 7, 1991 — July 21, 2020

Andrew Ronald McCluney was born June 7, 1991 in Des Peres, MO the son of Dwight Hubert “Bud” McCluney III and Elizabeth Leigh “Beth” (Little) McCluney. He passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at his residence in Cortez, CO at the age of 29.
Andrew grew up in Ottawa, KS and had a deep love of music. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Ottawa University in 2013. Andrew played bass guitar in several bands and church praise teams. He had profound appreciation for all types of music. After graduation, Andrew went on to work a variety of jobs as a tradesman including, plumbing, oil field work, sanitation, food service and maintenance.
Andrew will be most remembered by his family and friends for his willingness to help others at all times. There was no project too big or small that Andrew wasn’t willing to take on. He made each person who came into his life feel special and cared for.
Andrew was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He was most frequently found on mountain bike trails, including Phil’s World and Sand Canyon. Andrew had a wonderful sense of adventure, and did everything to the fullest. He was most recognizable covered in sweat and mud.
Andrew had a playful sense of humor, and was well known for his impressions of others. He was mischievous and fun and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving Andrew are his parents, Bud and Beth McCluney of Ottawa, KS; his brother Ryan McCluney and his wife Laura of Cortez, CO; his grandparents, Dwight McCluney of St. Peters, MO, Ron and Cynthia Little of Florissant, MO; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elva McCluney, and his aunt, Sharon Coad.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Andrew’s honor in Ottawa, KS at a later date.
If you desire to make a donation in Andrew’s honor, the family asks that donations be made to a Memorial Fund dedicated to Axis Health Systems. Axis Health Systems helps those in Montezuma County struggling with mental health and depression issues.

Andrew is finally at peace. May Andrew’s ability to love others unconditionally live on in all of us.
