Alvina L. Dresch

ALVINA L. DRESCH Graveside services for former Mancos resident, Alvina L. Dresch will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 25 at the Cortez Cemetery. Alvina was born on February 14, 1908 in Brooklyn, N.Y. the daughter of Christian and Augusta (Burgstaller) Lutz. She passed away on Monday, April 18, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip, N.Y. at the age of 97. Alvina married William James Dresch and resided in Mancos. Alvina spent her working career as a bookkeeper. She is survived by her children, Suzanne Dresch, Bill Dresch and wife, Marialies all of Long Island, N.Y, Maureen Henneman and husband, Jerry of Mancos; her grandchildren, David Henneman, William H. Dresch, Kathryn Henneman and Debra Sue Jacques. She leaves four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, William James Dresch. Memorial contributions can be made in Alvina’s memory to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Sayville, N.Y.
